Hello.
You can tell a lot about a person by what they say and how they say it. Did you notice how I said "Hello," with a proper period ending the sentence? No exclamation mark. No variant on "hello," such as "h," "hiya," "howdy," or "greetings," but just the standard.
What does that tell you about a person? I know I see into people's writing styles a lot, and I just wanted to showcase an example of an introduction.
I find it fascinating trying to learn about people based on those writing styles and choices. The words we choose often times reflect what kind of people we are. I know that, over the course of my lifetime, I've gone through so many different styles that I consider myself relatively fluid, despite seeming dry by this post.
Don't worry, I'm hopefully not that boring. I just wanted to leave an introduction that would stir up some thought.
A little about myself: I'm a fan of Pokemon, I'm thinking of getting back into writing fanfiction for it, and I do some art from time to time, too. I like computers and tend to be a shut in nerd a lot of the time. I tend to be shy, but I will try to do a better job about meeting and interacting with new people, although I still need to settle in my hobbies before I'm that interesting of a person.
You can call me Dew. Don't be disappointed if I don't tell you much about myself, such as my name, but instead respect my privacy, because I tend to believe people should be judged more by what they do than who they are. A name is just a name, anyway.
As for tonight, I actually wrote up about 2,500 words on a story I'm working on. It's a darker Pokemon fanfic involving two caged Pokemon, poachers, and the threat of death. Not sure when I will post the first chapter, but probably not until after I've written a few chapters, so it is easier for me to get everything going. I had writer's block for most of the day, so I was just relieved to get something out; I didn't give too much thought to the future or the conclusion at this point, but I think it will have some good characters and storyline behind it. At least I hope so.
